Highly Recommended for Vegetarians in Paro!
If you’re a vegetarian visiting Paro, this place is an absolute must-try. We enjoyed a delicious spread from a perfectly made veg cheese burger and crispy, flavourful dosas to comforting pizzas and truly authentic ema datshi. Their coffees and desserts were spot-on and wrapped up the meal beautifully.
The food is genuinely outstanding, and the variety for vegetarians is impressive. The only area with room for improvement is the service — it tends to be slow, both while taking orders and during billing. But once the food arrives, you’ll feel it was worth the wait.
Overall, a fantastic spot for vegetarians looking to enjoy great flavours in Paro. Highly recommended!

Here, you can finally get a truly good espresso in Thimphu. Mountain Café takes coffee seriously — they roast their own beans on-site, and you can even see the roaster in action behind glass. The espresso was smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced. The café has a cozy wooden interior, a relaxed vibe, and friendly staff who clearly care about what they do.
